The MPS-4 Regulated Power Supply provides a
consistent 24 VDC to the card rack and is
independent of the load current (unlike
unregulated supplies). The regulated +24 VDC
output can be monitored for failure using NEMA
TS1 equipment.
This is advantageous when using NEMA TS 1
solid state output detectors, which will not
provide a call output when power is lost. The
MPS-4 module has four +24 VDC outputs. This
allows the MPS-4 to plug into card racks wired
for multiple channel power supplies and
distributes the total 1200 mA of current to the
channels connected.
The MPS-4 has the ability to power up to 64
channels of PEEK/Sarasota multi-channel
detectors.
The MPS-4 is also available as a dedicated power supply for the VideoTrak-IQ line of video traffic detection products.
