IQ Connect Translators
| |
NTCIP for Legacy Hardware
Peek Traffic has created the IQ Connect
translators to enable older traffic hardware to
communicate with Peek’s NTCIP central system
software, IQ Central®. IQ Connect is available
either as a standalone unit to be attached to your
hardware via a cable, or as a plug-in card
(available for the 3000E controller.)
This unique solution provides a variety of
methods to connect your legacy hardware to the
IQ Central central system, including high speed
direct serial connections, a variety of serial
modem options (including radio modems), as
well as 100 Base-T Ethernet connections.

Controllers can be controlled and programmed
from the central software either as isolated
local units, or through a master
controller’s connections to the
local intersection devices. This
includes status monitoring, central
overrides, preemptions, log
retrieval, and all other central
command options that are
available for each make and
model of controller device. The
exact capabilities available from
central are determined by the
capabilities of the controller unit, not any
limitations of the IQ Connect translator. |
