Designed for installation in all type 170 controllers, the Model 412C PROM Module from IDC can be configured to operate with most software packages, providing the user with an interchange platform for data and programs. A series of soldered jumpers, coupled with two front panel mounted eight position DIP switches, allows for selection of memory map, type of memory devices, and variable modes of software operation. With a design to meet or exceed all Caltrans specifications, the unit has several support features, including extended down time accumulation, lithium battery back-up power, and software controlled write protection.

Mechanically, the 412C is equipped with a handle for easy insertion and removal, a latch mechanism to prevent insertion damage, and provides four sockets that accept up to four 28-pin memory devices. Flexibility, convenience, and back-up support make the 412C from IDC the PROM Module of choice.
